Allan Campbell was appointed Chairman on 27 November 2008. Mr Campbell has experience in commerce, law and investment banking. After qualifying as a Solicitor, he worked with Stephen Jaques & Stephen in Sydney, followed by ten years corporate finance and reconstructions with investment banks in Sydney, London, New York including the Hong Kong Bank Group and Security Pacific Hoare Govett.
Mr Campbell left investment banking in 1990 and established business interests in the property, construction and building materials sectors, including the turnaround of a listed UK building materials company. After returning to Australia (1995 to present) he acquired a controlling interest in A J Lucas Group Ltd and was appointed Executive Chairman. Since acquiring his shareholding in Sydney Gas, he has been responsible for the Company’s strategic direction and has established its position as the leading outsourced provider of infrastructure services in Australia.
Mr John Moore (CPA)Mr Moore was appointed to the Sydney Ags Board in November 2006. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, is an Associate of the Australian Society of Accountants the Institute of Corporate Managers, Secretaries and Administrators and is a partner of JI Moore & Partners, Chartered Accountants.
Mr Moore Has been in continuous public practice for 38 years.
Mr Raymond Fung (BEc, CFA, FINSIA)
Mr Fung is one of two Non-Executive Directors nominated by Babcock & Brown Securities Pty Ltd (B&B). B&B is entitled to nominate two Board members as a condition of the convertible note facility between B&B and the Company.
Mr Fung is a senior executive in the Infrastructure and Project Finance division at B&B. He has worked on a number of initiatives for B&B and its managed funds, including the establishment and successful IPO of Babcock & Brown Wind Partners, B&B's recent acquisition of Alinta Limited and Flinders Power Partners.
Mr Warren Murphy (BE(Hons), BComm)
Mr Murphy is one of two Non-Executive Directors nominated by Babcock & Brown Securities Pty Ltd (B&B). B&B is entitled to nominate two Board members as a condition of the convertible note facility between B&B and the company.
Mr Murphy is Co-Head Australian infrastructure and Head of Australian Energy in the Infrastructure & Project Finance group at Babcock and Brown, based in the Sydney Office. He has led the development of Babcock & Brown's energy sector capability in Australia and New Zealand. He is a director of the ASX listed Babcock & Brown Wind Partners and the co-developer of a number of renewable energy projects, including the Alinta and Lake Bonney wind farms. Mr Murphy joined Babcock & Brown in 1997. Prior to joining Babcock & Brown, Mr Murphy was a director of the project finance division of AIDC and before that worked at the Westpac Banking Corporation.
